The Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians, is excited to announce a live, American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)- endorsed Maintenance of Certification for Family Physicians (MC-FP) Knowledge Self-Assessment (KSA) group study (formerly known as a SAM) focused on Pain Management. This proram is limited to the first 30 people who register.

The session is open to the first 30 registrants. Spots are reserved in the order that payment is received.
Cost: There is a group session fee of $125 for WAFP members and $250 for non-WAFP members.
Additional ABFM fees apply.
At the session attendees will work together to complete the Knowledge Self-Assessment of the topic content area. Upon passing the assessment you will receive 10 ABFM Certification Points and 8 CME Credits.
- Attendees will discuss and complete the 60 questions that make up the Knowledge-Self Assessment
- The WAFP will report answers from the group session directly to the ABFM on your behalf
- The Clinical Self-Assessment is now optional and may be completed on your own for an additional 5 ABFM Certification Points and 4 CME Credits. (This was previously required under the old SAM format.)
This Live activity, WAFP Pain Management KSA, with a beginning date of 01/31/2017, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 8.00 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Registration is limited to the first 30 participants, in the order that payment is received. Please be sure to make your online payment as soon as you complete the registration form.
SAMs, the Knowledge Self-Assessment (KSA) and the Clinical Self-Assessment (CSA) have 3-year repeat limits. Before registering for any KSA or CSA please check with the ABFM to see which topics you have completed in the past three years. If this is your first step in the Family Medicine Certification process, please be sure to contact the ABFM (877-223-7437) and obtain your ABFM ID. If you do not recall your password, please use the "Help! I forgot my password and/or username" link on the ABFM website to reset your password. If you have any questions about how many Family Medicine Certification activities are required for you at this time and/or when you need to complete them, the ABFM can assist you. In addition to the WAFP fee to participate in the group session, the ABFM charges an annual certification process fee.
