Virtual KSAs

October 13 & December 8

WAFP, in partnership with the Arkansas, Maryland, Minnesota, and Ohio chapters of the American Academy of Family Physicians, is excited to announce two virtual, American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)-endorsed Family Medicine Certification knowledge self-assessments (KSA's). These programs are limited to the first 25 members who register and typically takes four hours to complete.

These programs will will use Zoom to allow family physician learners from across the country the opportunity to complete a KSA while engaging their peers and an expert content leader. For members, the cost to attend is $125. Registrants after the first 25 will be placed on a waiting list. We look forward to hosting you!

Asthma — Sunday, October 13 @ 4:30 p.m.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand the pathogenesis of asthma.
  2. Identify and diagnose asthma and exercise-induced asthma.
  3. Manage chronic asthma and emergency cases of asthma.
  4. Recognize and manage comorbidities of asthma and complications of asthma therapy.

Musculoskeletal — Sunday, December 8 @ 4:30 p.m.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand of treatment for musculoskeletal conditions of the spine, and upper and lower extremities to maximize restoration of function.
  2. Identify common presentations and clinical features of musculoskeletal traumatic overuse injuries seen in clinical practice.
  3. Identify critical aspects of musculoskeletal care that include proper imaging modalities, infections, child abuse, and malignancy.
