The Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services currently requires 30 hours of CME per year to maintain your medical license. Each license holder will be required to take two of the required 30 hours via Board-approved courses on responsible opioid prescription. The WAFP is planning to offer an approved course again in 2020. Stay tuned for more information.
The Medical Examining Board is created in Wis. Stat. § 15.405(7) and has authority as outlined in Wis. Stat. ch. 448.
